LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Nicaragua is truly living a Humanitarian Crisis. Never in the 26 years of ANF’s history had we been shaken by such a sharp increase in medical needs, hunger and poverty affecting the entire country. To make it more catastrophic, this growing need for aid is combined with a reduction in local resources due to the fact that many businesses are closing and unemployment is growing.
We have provided humanitarian aid throughout many natural disasters, which have been focused on certain regions and specific needs. However, in all the years since we began our mission, there has never been any flood or drought, earthquake or hurricane, mud slide or epidemic, able to destroy the economy of the entire country and add more poverty than this current situation we’re now facing.
We must join forces to care for the poor, working hand in hand, united in this effort, every one of us making a contribution according to our possibilities.
We need your support today, and we thank you in advance for your generosity. Our people need each and every one of us now and we are counting on your help, more than ever before. We hope you will donate and trust that together we will get through this.
ANF is a relief and development organization dedicated to alleviating poverty and building sustainable livelihoods for Nicaragua’s most vulnerable.
ANF'S WORK SINCE APRIL 2018
Thanks to our strategic donors’ ongoing contributions, ANF has continued serving its local partners and executing projects without interruption.
By activating its "Nicaragua Crisis Fund" and distributing humanitarian aid (to the Red Cross, firefighters, religious organizations, hospitals, clinics, and other non-profit organizations), ANF is providing immediate help to centers in urgent need.
In addition, ANF has continued serving its more than 700 local partner organizations in Nicaragua.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What is a "No Go Gala"?
This is a concept that is becoming increasingly popular in philanthropy, due to its heightened efficiency and impact. Out of respect for the current situation in Nicaragua, and the need to maximize the aid we provide, ANF will not be holding an actual event this year.
Since we will not be incurring the expenses associated with a gala, 100% of your donation will go directly to our mission "to contribute substantially and sustainably to reducing the impact of poverty in the lives of the most vulnerable populations in
What is ANF doing instead?
Our goal is to be the most effective possible. We will still have an intensive fundraising campaign through this website from now until December 1, 2018 so our much-needed assistance can have an impact by the end of the year.
How much do I donate?
Please consider our sponsorship opportunities here.
We humbly ask you to take into account how much you would have spent in attending a gala and add that to your donation.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, 100% of your donation is tax deductible.
What will my donation go toward?
Your contribution enables ANF to help people build sustainable livelihoods by providing access to basic human needs through our network of more than 700 local partner organizations in Nicaragua.
